I think over the past year i’ve started to allow myself to indulge in the idea of “play.” It seems children learn much through play. It’s in the process of play that perhaps they learn to orient things abstractly and uniquely. At the risk of voiding my audience’s expectations, I’ll indulge in a measure of play in upcoming works.

In Lucem is a portraiture series that I have been working on for two years. The opening that happend monday nov. 14th was a huge success. All pieces were shot with 8×10″ Kodak Ektar. The pieces themselves are all 40×50 inches. Needless to say, it’s a big show!

Opening Weekend this past weekend, was a three day extravaganza of shooting very eager students and parents romping around the campus. The energy and crowds were a bit overwhelming at times, especially when each day made for a 12 hour work day; it was a fun set of shoots to kick off the semester with!
